The Closing Account Application provides CHWD with important information, including forwarding address for final bills, dates for when water service is requested to be shut off and more. It also provides the customer with critical information, including potential impacts to water heaters, pools and more if the water is shut off. If you are a tenant looking to start new service, please contact the property owner. The owner needs to complete the required Owner/Tenant Billing Application. This form cannot be completed by a tenant.

If the owner agrees to have CHWD bill you directly, your bill will be mailed to you. After you receive the bill you can register for an online account to easily pay and manage your water bill.

A re-reading of a water meter refers to any meter reading conducted outside the regular meter reading schedule or cycle. To request a re-read, please submit the online form or click here to download the Re-Read Water Meter Request Form.

Most construction projects and activities requiring water from a fire hydrant in the District require a Hydrant Meter Permit, including placement by the District of a construction water meter. A refundable security deposit is required for the use of the meter. In advance of your project, please contact the District to schedule an appointment to determine your water needs. For the review, comment and approval of private developer and public agency improvement plans. Two sets of preliminary improvement plans shall be provided to the District a minimum of six (6) weeks in advance of the project for initial review.
