WATER TESTING SCAM ALERT

CHWD has been notified of individuals contacting local residents, claiming their water may be unsafe to drink and offering in-home water testing. Please be advise:

  • CHWD does not conduct in-home water testing. We do not have any programs where employees request access to your home for testing.
  • District employees are always identifiable. All staff wear official uniforms, drive marked CHWD vehicles, and will never ask to enter your home.
  • Protect yourself. If you are ever unsure whether someone is a CHWD employee, do not hesitate to call our District office at (916) 725-6873 for verification before allowing any interaction.

Please stay alert and help spread the word. Your safety is our priority.
